The process hard anodization od Type-II-anodization
During the anodizing process an approx. 0,5-2 µm thick titanium oxide layer with silicon deposits is created on the base material, which, depending on the composition of the base material, has an anthracite / beige color.
This oxide layer is particularly abrasion-resistant, scratch-resistant due to the silicon components and has improved sliding properties.
The post-treatment (glass bead blasting) achieves the actual homogeneous surface structure, since loosely adhering oxide residues remain an the surface after the anodizing process.
Both parts made of pure titanium and titanium alloys can be processed!
Depending on the purity or element composition of the base material, different shades / nuances can be used.
